Little Cottonwood Canyon is often restricted to 4x4/AWD vehicles with snow tires or chains. Please make sure your transportation company can get you to and from Alta during road restrictions and through inclement weather.

Designed to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and traffic congestion, the new Ride Space app is a free ride-sharing app from Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude in order to encourage ride-sharing in the Cottonwoods. With it's proximity to the Salt Lake Metropolitan Area, you can help the environment and score sweet perks when you participate in The Ride Space program!

Getting Around Alta and Snowbird
Once you arrive at Alta and Snowbird, there’s no need for a vehicle to get around. The Town of Alta offers three free shuttle services during the ski season, providing convenient daily transportation between the two areas—making it simple to explore without a car.
