Join us on New Year's Eve for a torchlight parade and fireworks. The parade follows the main cat track to the
Wildcat Base. The number of skiers who are participating in the parade has grown enough that this year we will have more of a free-flowing parade with no formal start time. This should minimize the cold waiting time at the start and allow families to participate and to be at the base to watch the fireworks. With the shift in the focus of activity towards the base, we will not be serving cocoa before the start of the parade. Instead, we will make a healthy contribution to the
Utah Food Bank on behalf of our Alta skiers.
- Start loading Collins lift at 5:15pm. Skiers will get off at the angle station.
- Children need to be accompanied by an adult and have their own headlamps or flashlights. Adults will receive a torch, as supplies permit.
- All participants need to be intermediate level or stronger.
- Open containers will not be allowed on the lift.
It’s also time for the annual
Alta food drive. This year we are accepting all donations for the
Utah Food Bank virtually. Simply click here to donate. We have set a goal to raise $50,000. The drive will go through January 15, 2013. Every $1 donated to the Utah Food Bank turns into $8 worth of goods and services.
Happy New Year!
