Is snowboarding allowed at Alta?

What level of skier do I need to be to ski at Alta?

One of the best kept secrets about Alta is that there is terrain and snow conditions for all levels of skiers. The readers of Skiing magazine recently ranked Alta as the 4th best ski area in North America in terms of variety of terrain. Whether you prefer gentle rolling slopes, steep narrow chutes, wide open bowls, tree covered slopes, powder skiing, groomed runs or mogul skiing, you can find it at Alta.

Where should I ski at Alta?

We suggest you ski within your ability and comfort zone. The Sunnyside, Albion and Cecret lifts access terrain primarily for beginners. A favorite of intermediate skiers is the Sugarloaf lift, which also provides access to some advanced terrain. All other lifts provide access to both intermediate and advanced terrain. Please consult a Trail Map for more specific information.

Is the Cross Country/Nordic Track open every day?
