Alf's Restaurant
Alf's Restaurant in Alta, Utah is a mid-mountain cafeteria-style restaurant & day lodge located at the base of the Sugarloaf & Cecret chairlifts. Alf's offers employment, housing, and ski benefits.

Alf's Restaurant will begin hiring for the 2014-2015 season in October. Employment begins in early December and continues through the middle to end of April. We will have positions available for full time live-in and part time live-out cafeteria help. Full time employees are required to live on the mountain.

-Full time live-in
The full time live-in positions are great for people who want to do a lot of skiing this winter. These jobs are 5 days per week and the hours vary, but there is ski time every day. The housing is dorm style and is located near the base of the Sugarloaf Lift halfway up the mountain. The lift is less than fifty yards from the door! Call or e-mail for more details on the work schedule or housing.

-Part time live-out
The part time position is 14 hours per week. These positions are 2 days a week. The hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The work includes, but is not limited to food prep, deli work, bussing tables, snow removal, etc. Ski privileges are included. Housing is not available for these positions.

We are a skilled and dedicated staff of 100 pros teaching in a destination resort setting. The Alta Ski Shop is looking for qualified candidates to fill seasonal positions in our Retail & Demo Ski Shops. Ideal candidates should Love skiing as much as we do, have a friendly and positive attitude and enjoy working with our guests. Cashier and/or POS experience helpful, previous ski, rental or outdoor shop experience big plus but not required. Neat well groomed appearance required for all positions. Average skiing ability important as some locations are located in mid mountain lodges requiring skiing to and from work. Most positions are full time 30-40 hours per week with some part time positions available. Skier Services
Please call Martha as well as completing online application. The position requires strong communication skills to assist our skiers with the radio frequency ticketing system. The duties include orienting skiers to appropriate use and location of their ticket as well as monitoring tickets, analyzing any ticket problems and taking appropriate action. Familiarity with electronic tablets is helpful. This is an outdoor standing position and candidates must have own ski equipment and be comfortable with skiing blue runs in non groomed conditions. Shifts vary each day from 4.5 hours to 7.5 hours and may start as early as 8:15 and end at 4:45. Availability for 5 days per week and all Holidays is required. The season is mid November thru the end of April. Employee housing is not available for these positions. Alta Ticket Sales is now hiring full and part time positions for the upcoming ski season. We are seeking reliable candidates who not only love skiing and being in the mountains but also enjoy providing excellent customer service while serving the public. Applicants should have a positive and friendly attitude with the ability to be organized and detail oriented. All applicants are required to have cashiering and computer skills and a minimum blue level skiing ability. Albion Grill
The Albion Grill is a skier cafeteria and day lodge located at the Albion Base, next to the Sunnyside chairlift. The Albion Grill is currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions during the 2014-2015 season. Employment begins mid-late November and continues through April. We are looking for general kitchen help and cashiers with great work ethics and who are willing to learn new skills; previous experience is not required. Work includes snow shoveling, food prep, line cooking, dish washing, etc. Employees receive a ski pass and other various ski benefits.

Full time - 5-8 hours per day, 5 days a week, rotating schedule. Ski time every day.
Part Time - At least (2) days per week, 7 hours per day

Ski Adventure Center Coordinator
Please contact Julian Cordova before filling out an application. The Ski Adventure Center coordinators are support personnel who perform a variety of duties that assure the smooth operation of the children's Ski Adventures Program at Alta. Duties include: assisting the children between the ages of four and eight with physical and emotional needs before, during and after lesson times; set-up and take down of the ski adventure center, and monitoring throughout the day as our classes come and go; assisting with sign-in and sign-out of students; and daily record keeping.

Available position is part-time: 8:30 am - 4:30pm, Sat., Sun., and Mon.
  • A high comfort level working with young children.
  • Tolerance for physical work (lifting, bending, twisting, etc.).
  • Food handlers permit required
  • Background screening required
