Telemark Camp
Get ready for the season with the Alta three-day telemark camp. Instruction is provided by the Alf Engen Ski School, with the top telemark ski instructors in the country. Each day includes video analysis of your skiing. The focus will be on understanding fundamental movements and applying them to carving on the groomed runs; control and fluidity in the bumps; steeps and off-piste skiing. The small groups of four to seven skiers will ensure you get a lot of individual feedback. The price for the three-day camp includes instruction, video analysis and ski-school lift-line access. Lift tickets are sold separately.

Jumpstart Your Groove
Jump Start the ski season by reconnecting your skills and finding that groove with the experienced pros of the Alf Engen Ski School. This two-day early season clinic is for men and women with upper intermediate through advanced skiing skills. Clinic includes 2 full days of skiing and coaching designed at working toward your goals, improve terrain tactics to enjoy more of Alta plus ski school lift line access. Each day begins at 8:45 a.m. indoors in the Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge and finishes at 4:00 p.m. You will ski with the same instructor and the same group of skiers of similar ability. A light continental breakfast will be served the first morning. Lift tickets and lunch are purchased separately.

Deseret News Ski School
The Alf Engen Ski School in conjunction with the Deseret News Newspaper runs a Learn-to-Ski program for first time alpine skiers. The program consists of three Saturday sessions starting mid-November. The ski season is at our doorstep, and Alta skiers are ready and rearing to go. Mother Nature, however, is being a bit reluctant to transition from fall to winter.
Based on a warm and windy forecast for the weekend, we have made the decision to reschedule the Deseret News Ski School. Alta’s sessions will be:
